Dr. Divaldo Rezende is the CEO of Wilder Earth, the Social Carbon Foundation chairman, and a board member of Co-restore. He is an accomplished senior executive with over 35 years of success across the industries of environmental services, energy, and financial services. He leverages extensive experience leading efforts in sustainable development with a specialisation in sustainable development and climate change mitigation in both private and government sectors on climate change and sustainability issues. His broad areas of expertise include fundraising, business development, clean technology, renewable energy, international development, leadership, carbon markets, project finance, energy policy, strategic planning, and corporate social responsibility. He is one of the creators of the Social Carbon Standard and is still working on developing and creating a robust voluntary market internationally. Dr Divaldo holds a BSc in Agronomy from the Federal University of Lavras, an MSc in Rural Resources and Environmental Policy from the University of London, a Doctorate in Biology from the University of Aveiro, and a Post Doc in Environmental Assets from Aveiro University.
