2025 Impact Report

Document language: English, German
Published on: February 20, 2026

Our Global Impact Report 2025 highlights our key conservation, rescue, and animal welfare work across multiple regions in 2025.

The report covers anti-poaching and anti-trafficking actions (including rhino protection efforts in Zimbabwe, Mission Caita in Angola, and a major African Grey parrot trafficking interception in Türkiye), as well as habitat and marine conservation work such as sea turtle rescue and coastal ecosystem protection in Sri Lanka. It also documents long-term sanctuary care (including rescued elephants in Zambia and the transformation of a neglected zoo in Burkina Faso) and ongoing welfare interventions in crisis settings, from daily stray animal support in Türkiye to emergency response during floods and wildfires.

The report closes with a focus on humane coexistence solutions and awareness initiatives, reflecting WAL’s commitment to transparency and measurable impact.

The report is available in English and German
