Project: Canned Hunting Lions Rescue
Georges was born to be hunted as a trophy on a canned hunting farm in South Africa. However, due to his crooked tail, which is considered a deformity by trophy hunters, Georges was destined to be slaughtered instead, with his bones potentially being used in the Traditional Asian Medicine industry. Despite his difficult past, Georges is a kind and loving lion. He enjoys relaxing under the trees in the sanctuary and shares a special bond with Julie.
To care for the lions in South Africa, 95€ translates to about 1.5 months’ worth of meat.
Please note: This is a manually-renewed ongoing donation aiming to support the animals’ expenses for a three-month period. The costs vary depending on factors such as the animal’s diet, required medication, the number of keepers, and the country in which they are located.
