Project: Canned Hunting Lions Rescue
Elma was born on a canned hunting farm in South Africa. She grew up in a highly populated pen where many lions fought for survival. This stress and competitiveness caused her to grow up very timid and shy. She rarely approaches other lions and stays close to Julie. Elma loves to eat and relax during the day, and has a unique beauty mark on her face, near her nose.
To care for the lions in South Africa, 95€ translates to about 1.5 months’ worth of meat.
Please note: This is a manually-renewed ongoing donation aiming to support the animals’ expenses for a three-month period. The costs vary depending on factors such as the animal’s diet, required medication, the number of keepers, and the country in which they are located.
