World Lion Day

On World Lion Day, we celebrate the strength, beauty and spirit of one of the world’s most iconic animals. For more than a decade, Wild at Life has stood beside lions in some of the world’s most difficult places, working to rescue and protect them from trafficking, exploitation in zoos, canned hunting and the devastating impact of war. Our work gives abused, displaced and endangered lions a chance to heal, recover and live with dignity. Today, we honour the lions who survived—and remember that protecting them means protecting the wild places they call home.

Ps: pictured is one of the lions we have rescued from South African canned hunting farm.

Help Us Rescue Lions

Every lion deserves a life beyond suffering, exploitation and captivity.

We work to rescue lions from heartbreaking circumstances and give them a safe place to recover, heal and live with dignity. But we can’t do this alone.

Your support can help give a rescued lion a second chance.
