We found infant Walter in the backyard of a house with 2 more chimpanzees, Joze and Maria. With insufficient care, Maria had already died. We have taken Walter and Joze to our sanctuary for urgent care. Walter is young and full of joy despite the ordeal he has been through, he can get along with all his chimpanzee friends. During his rescue, he was the first one to run away from his cage and start his new free life.
Please note: This is a manually-renewed ongoing donation aiming to support the animals’ expenses for a three-month period. The costs vary depending on factors such as the animal’s diet, required medication, the number of keepers, and the country in which they are located.
