In a powerful story of international wildlife conservation, Wild at Life e.V. is proudly featured in Turkish Cargo’s official article on the  mission to rescue and repatriate 34 African Grey Parrots. These endangered birds had been smuggled from Africa to Spain and were saved thanks to the collaboration of multiple international partners. The article highlights Wild at Life e.V.’s crucial role in coordinating the complex logistics and partnerships behind this mission.

Together with Turkish Cargo, the Jane Goodall Institute, FIEB, CITES authorities, and the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition, Wild at Life e.V. helped ensure the safe return of these highly intelligent parrots to their homeland in the Republic of Congo. After a carefully planned transport journey through Istanbul, the parrots were welcomed in Congo, where they began a new chapter at the Tchimpounga Nature Reserve.
