Türkiye is Burning

Help Us Save the Innocent Victims of the Wildfires

Across Türkiye, a catastrophe is unfolding as wildfires rage out of control. Twelve cities are battling flames, with over 350 separate fires burning simultaneously. The situation grows more dire by the hour as strong winds push the fires forward at terrifying speeds, reducing ancient forests and forcing entire villages to flee. Amidst this chaos, the most vulnerable victims are the animals – terrified pets abandoned in the evacuation, livestock trapped in burning barns, and wild creatures with nowhere to run

Our experienced rescue teams are working around the clock in these danger zones. We bring life-saving supplies including water, emergency medical kits with burn creams and pain relief, protective blankets for animals suffering from smoke inhalation, and specialized equipment to safely transport injured creatures. Our vehicles carry everything from pet carriers to fire extinguishers, while our team members risk their own safety wearing heat-resistant gear to reach the worst affected areas.

The heartbreaking truth is we see this tragedy repeat every single summer. Many of these fires could be prevented if proper precautions were taken. Simple human negligence – a carelessly discarded cigarette, an unattended campfire, normal functioning farm equipment – sparks disasters that claim countless lives. Even after fires are initially contained, poor management often allows them to reignite, putting rescue teams and animals at risk all over again.

With climate change accelerating, these wildfires grow more severe each year. The ecological damage is immeasurable – entire species lose their habitats in hours, delicate ecosystems that took generations to develop are wiped out, and the natural balance of these regions may never recover. This isn’t just about saving individual animals (though that matters deeply), but about preserving Türkiye’s incredible biodiversity before it’s too late.

We’ve been fighting this battle for years. We know the patterns, we’ve developed the skills, and we’re prepared to keep working as long as these disasters continue. But we desperately need your support to maintain our efforts.

Your donation will provide:

  • medical treatment for burned and traumatized animals
  • keep our rescue vehicles fueled and running, ensure we have enough food and shelter for all the animals we can save
  • allow us to continue fighting for for better prevention measures.
